MUDr Georgia Marangou

Pediatrician

Dr. Marangou was born in 1986 in Paphos, Cyprus.

She graduated from A’ Lyceum of Ethnarch Makarios III in Paphos in 2004 with a score of “Excellent”. Following the Pancyprian Examinations for admission to the Public Higher Education Institutions of Cyprus and Greece, she gained a place in the School of Molecular Biology and Genetics of the Democritus University of Thrace. However, she moved to the United Kingdom, where she graduated from Bellerby’s College in Brighton & Hove in 2005, receiving an A Level course Certificate in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics. She also completed the IELTS course in English language.

Following that, she graduated from the University of Nottingham, UK, receiving a Bachelor of Science with Honors Degree in Human Genetics in 2008. She continued her studies in the Czech Republic, where she studied medicine at Charles University in Prague, 1st Faculty of Medicine, receiving a Master’s Degree in General Medicine in 2014.

After graduating from medical school, she returned to Cyprus, where she worked for a year (2014-2015) as a trainee Doctor in Nicosia General Hospital in the Departments of General Surgery and General Pathology. During 2016-2020, she worked as a Pediatric Resident doctor in Archbishop Makarios III hospital in Nicosia, Cyprus, where she completed her training program as a Pediatrician. She became a Pediatric Specialist in 2022 when she obtained her title from the Republic of Greece.

Dr. Marangou is a member of the Cyprus Medical Association and the Medical Association of Paphos “Asklipios”. She obtained certificates in Neonatal Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support, organized by the European Resuscitation Council.

Dr. Marangou speaks Greek and English.
